Cameron Douglas, Michael Douglas‘ 30-year-old son, has been dropped from the low budget movie The Beautiful Outsiders as both actor and associate producer. Cameron was arrested last week for possession of methamphetamines with the intent to distribute. Andrew Jones, the director and producer of The Beautiful Outsiders, released a statement saying, “The serious nature of the allegations means it is highly unlikely that Cameron would be able to travel, so it would be impossible for him to be in the UK for filming. And with charges of this nature hanging over for him, it would be very difficult for us to get insurance for him.” Cameron, who appeared alongside his father and grandfather Kirk Douglas in the 2003 MGM picture It Runs in the Family, faces a minimum of 10 years in prison if found guilty.
