Stranger ThingsHours before we welcomed the new year, Netflix announced the release date for season three of Stranger Things, taking us back to 1985.

The highly anticipated season will return on July 4, 2019. The announcement was made on Twitter and Instagram along with a poster that promises “One Summer Can Change Everything.”

The poster shows Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp and Sadie Sink watching fireworks light up the sky.

Mike (Wolfhard) and Eleven (Brown) are holding hands while Eleven looks back.

A YouTube video shared by Netflix shows television footage from the 1985 broadcast of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, which is interrupted by computer coding.
