Our Brand is Crisis is a political satire loosely portraying the 2002 Bolivian presidential election. Former political consultant Jane Bodine (Sandra Bullock) is pulled out of retirement to re-brand an ailing presidential candidate. Her competitive and ruthless side is unleashed when she realizes her nemesis Pat Candy (Billy Bob Thornton) is representing the opposition. It’s now a test of skills, guts and morality to see who will come out on top.

James Donovan (Tom Hanks) is an American attorney who is tasked by his partners to represent a suspected KGB spy by the name of Rudolf Abel. Meanwhile, an American U-2 spy plane pilot, Francis Gary Powers, is captured by the Soviets. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the historical thriller Bridge of Spies finds James in the center of the Cold War when he is sent to Berlin by the FBI to negotiate a dangerous trade — Abel for Powers

Starring Cate Blanchett as TV producer Mary Mapes and Robert Redford as news anchor Dan Rather, Truth follows the true story behind 60 Minutes’ controversial investigation into then-president George W. Bush’s very shrouded military service. Based on the Mapes’s memoir, Truth and Duty: The Press, the President and the Privilege of Power.

In the fantasy thriller The Last Witch Hunter, Kaulder (Vin Diesel) is the only witch hunter left in existence after being cursed with immortality by a Witch Queen he killed centuries before. His wife and daughter long dead, he is now alone and determined to find and destroy every last rogue witch. But he must fight his most dangerous battle yet, as the Witch Queen has been resurrected and is looking for blood-thirsty revenge.

Suffragette depicts the early 20th century revolution to allow women the right to vote in England. Carey Mulligan is Maud, a laundress and young mother, who is persuaded into giving testimony to parliament in order to secure the vote. However, her efforts fail and Maud is incentivized. Despite adamant protestations from her husband and friends, Maud is quickly caught up in the furor of the Suffragettes and eventually becomes one of its most vocal and radical leaders.

Based on the real life of Lauren Hester, Freeheld follows as Lauren (Julianne Moore), a police officer for 25 years, is diagnosed with terminal cancer and struggles to secure her pension benefits. Lauren fears her girlfriend, Stacie (Ellen Page), might be left with nothing. After repeated appeals to New Jersey’s board of chosen freeholders, Lauren and Stacie must now muster up the strength to carry on and continue their fight for their money — and their rights.

Bill Murray stars as failed rock manager Richie Lanz in the music dramedy Rock the Kasbah, adapted from the 2009 documentary Afghan Star. Richie takes his last remaining client on a USO tour of Afghanistan, but ends up alone, penniless and without his passport in Kabul. As luck would have it, he meets a young and talented singer named Salima whom he nurtures and manages through Afghanistan’s version of American Idol.

Math prodigy Nathan (Asa Butterfield) is a brilliant, but painfully awkward teenager who can only find solace in numbers in the British coming-of-age drama A Brilliant Young MindNathan can’t seem to fit in anywhere, until he earns a spot representing Britain in the International Mathematics Olympiad, and meets a girl named Zhang (Jo Yang).
