James Franco recalls gay dance

James Franco, 34, reveals his classmates made up a dance about him being gay. The Lovelace star insists rumors about his sexuality don't bother him because he has been subjected to them since high school. He told MTV News: "In high school these girls got mad at me and so they spread this rumor that I was having a gay relationship with one of my closest friends. And they even made up a little dance they would do in the girls' locker room about me being gay. I still don't know what the dance was." The actor who has been single since his relationship with actress Ahna O'Reilly ended in 2011, insists he doesn't care if people think he is gay. Discussing the speculation that still surrounds his sexuality, James - who has played gay characters in films such as Milk and Howl - added: "It wasn't like it was anything new. And in fact, it wasn't something that frightened me, like if people think that, it's fine. I really don't care."

   That’s kinda mean. He’s obviously gay, but they didn’t have to make up a dance about it.

   I don’t think he’s gay but really who cares. And maybe those girls thought he was hot and couldn’t land him and that was their way of coping. Sad bullying. Either way I’m sure they all see him in the blockbuster movies and regret it.

   I think he is a very good actor in most of his roles, and he seems to be fearless in both the roles he portrays and the type of physical skills he takes on.

   It takes someone who has learned that it is your internal self-resolve that matters, and that you cannot live your life based upon what others think, especially in such personal issues as one’s sexual orientation, that in part allows him to be so good at what he does.

   He also seems to be a real, caring, concerned human being, and that’s something I really do care about in supporting an actor and his/her projects.

   I think he is grounded and is probably a great friend to those he is around.

   I’d like to know what it is about James Franco that would lead one to think he’s gay. I can’t say I’ve ever thought that about him, and I would know what signs to look for trust me.

   He’s a decent talented actor. Gay or not I don’t care. Nor will it chance my opinion about him.

   Sucks that people judge you by your sexual orientation. Homosexual or not, he’s a great actor.

    Even if he was gay(which honestly i doubt), why would it matter? Leave the guy alone. What ever happened to accepting people for who they are…. if someone is gay let them be, it has nothing to do with you. Love is Love no matter what form it comes in.

    James Franco is NOT gay! I’m sure the stupid school girls are now regretting what they’d done. Too late, girls. He’s a hunk and you have no chance with him. hahahahahahaha
