Johnny Depp hurt by Vanessa Paradis’ new man

It seems the deep, dark and devious Johnny Depp has a heart. The actor, who’s been known to play gothic roles, announced his split from his partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis, last week.  The two have sparked the media’s attention since, linking them to numerous celebrities. Depp is rumored to be romancing his co-star Amber Heard from The Rum Diary, whereas Paradis has been connected to musician Matthieu Chedid. The news has reportedly wounded her former beau. “This is the end now. They’re both upset and dreaded their split being so dissected in public,” said a source to British magazine Closer. “They’ve both been linked with other people, but Johnny is hurt Vanessa actually seems to have something with her new guy.” Paradis could receive as much as $158 million in an out-of-court settlement, while Depp – who was never married to Paradis – is said to be considering the large sum. “They want to stay friends, but they were making each other unhappy,” said the insider. “Vanessa didn’t like Johnny’s partying and moods.” Together they have two children, Lily Rose, 13 and Jack, nine. ~Graeme Mollison
