Most actors acknowledge that filming a romantic scene with a co-star can be awkward. But what happens when you cram two hot A-List stars, namely Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp into a hot, steamy shower scene? It gets cut. Apparently Depp’s longtime partner, French singer Vanessa Paradis, was not only worried about Depp starring with Jolie in The Tourist, she did not want any of the sex scenes to be released. “Vanessa put pressure on Johnny, and finally he said he wanted the shower scene out. He told the producers it cheapened the movie,” dailymail.co.uk quoted a source as saying. Paradis was apparently so distressed over the script’s romantic theme that she begged Depp to pull out of the project altogether due to Jolie’s reputation for hooking up with her co-stars. “Angelina comes with a reputation, she stole Brad Pitt from Jennifer Aniston when they were shooting Mr & Mrs Smith together,” the source said.

Depp is solidly commited to his family; and well Jolie is also, to her brood.
This is just more publicity for the purposes of publicity. Any press makes good press, when it comes to pumping up a movies reputation, with actors that are known for creating/staring and/or contributing to major productions.
If Johnny Depp had wanted to have an affair with Jolie or anyone else for that matter, he would have done it already! Have a little faith in your man Ms. Paradis!
Everyone is responsible for themselves. Blaming someone is fine, if the blame is placed rightly so, and then if you do what is right from then on. Put up with your situation, or get out. I have been lied to, cheated on, dealt with married men, that I did not know were married, etc. I take my responsibility in each relationship, and deal with it accordingly. I try to be fair in life, when most people are not. And, I stand up for myself, and am fine on my own. Life is not about blame and suffering. It is about compromise, and decency. I have been in every dating role, and never play the victim. That does not get anyone anywhere. If Paradis is worried about Depp, then she should look at her relationship with him. To Alan- how is Angelina a slut? Then Brad is. It takes all parties involved. No one is a threat unless you let them be. And… once again, deal with you and your partner- the outsiders are not the cause.Plus, to Alan, if Angelina “stole” Brad- which, no one can do this without a willing partner, then how come they have been together for as long as they have been (the slut, again). I don’t like narrow-minded comments. I am 50, I look 30, and have dated my whole life. I am attractive, but I don’t use it. I try to be kind, but not be stepped on, and take full responsibility for myself. Others should too. People that know me, say that I am the most reasonable person that they have met. If the scene and film is done and Johnny is still with her, then she has nothing to worry about.

Vanessa is a beautiful woman – and Johnny has been with her for a long time – that builds a comfort level and partnership. She has nothing to worry about – He is still with her and the kids – this is a story – a film – not real life. (and unfortunately if someone doesn’t trust a partner often the partner senses it and moves away from that person – due to hurt over lack of trust.)
As for the Jolie Pitt thing – well she can’t steal someone if he wants to go . Plus who said you ‘own’ anyone.
Pitt made his choice and Johnny made his.
The scene is part of the movie and helps the plot move along.

I am afraid Mandee that Miss Jolie does have a reputation for taking people from their significant others. Case in point, her first husband was in a serious relationship when she set her sights on him, her second husband, Billy Bob, was living with Laura Dern when they “got together”, so I am afraid she does have a habit of taking things that don’t belong to her. I also agree with Pesho, Angelina’s a slut who hasn’t been anything but trouble to Brad Pitt since they’ve been together. I also don’t agree with that “they won’t go if they didn’t already want to” adage. Brad didn’t even see her coming, she blew smoke up his ass and tried everything under the sun to seduce him by leaving pornography and whips around to peak his interest. He is, after all, only a man. They think about sex only a hundred times a day. I personally thing Jennifer Aniston is far more beautiful than Angelina any day of the week. I think that Mr. Brad Pitt is going to rule the day he met Miss Angelina, kook that she is. I also think Johnny is too smart to fall into any trap like that. He also has kids to think about, not that it’s always on men’s front burners where other women are concerned.

I think Angelina having steamy scenes with most of her co- actors is a problem on her part. In my opinion, it’s her way of acting out her baser and immoral insticts and she gets off on it, otherwise it wouldn’t happen so often. If I was Brad, I’d be worried. He can be repeated.

To Mandee, I’m glad you know Angie well enough to say that she isn’t a kook. I am constantly hearing things that perpetuate that nickname. Jennifer has dated a lot of people but her sexual escapades and frequent drug use are not the constant talk of tinsel town like Miss Jolie. Being a serial dater to find Mr. Right is her only fault. I’m surprised she even bothers since the love of her life dissappointed her so. I’m sure I’m not the only one to read the rag mags. Personally, I think that Johnny Depp shouldn’t do a steamy sex scene. I think it would cheapen him. He is an excellent actor and I have watched him in many of his movies including the Pirates of the Caribeans. I think he is the sexiest man ever and that has nothing to do with him making out with anyone. He doesn’t need to! I respect him for respecting his longtime partner!

Well I like Brad, Johnny, Angelina & Jennifer. I do believe someone can love someone very much and either cheat behind their back or leave for another woman. I went through it personally. My ex boyfriend of 8 years loved me to death and I know he did so don’t say he didn’t. But I found out the whole entire time we dated he cheated behind my back!! He actaully has a “problem” and can’t keep it in his pants. I was the perfect girlfriend. That wasn’t enough for his sexual addiction. So it is possible a man can cheat/leave a person her really loves!!

I had a chuckle reading everyone’s take on the Jolie/Depp shower scene and the “axed scene” that started it all. The only thing I have to say is that the smart actors either a) stay single and play the field so they don’t get into situations like this or b) have a steady relationship with someone else who’s an actor or who understands the pitfalls and temptations of their field so this kind of thing doesn’t become an issue. It comes with the territory, gang. Personally, I don’t care nor do I pay much attention to what celebrities do because, being a non-celebrity myself, it doesn’t affect me.

I can’t say too much, from what’s been said already. Whoa! Some comments were really prejudicial in ways, and others were just hilarious. I can’t remember who I agreed with, as there were so-oo-oo many comments! But, I must say this: I believe that Angelina & Brad have found real love with each other, and in their family unit. And as far as Johnny’s love for Paradis, I feel that it’s probably pretty “solid“, and she shouldn`t have anything to worry about. They`ve got a nice little family together–2 girls, I think–and it seems that he`s very “committed“ to them. However, if I were her, I think that I`d be a little bit concerned about a sex scene between Angie & Depp, because she is just so-oo-oo sexual, and maybe she just didn`t want it to go on screen! I am a huge fan of Johnny Depp, and I have great respect for him as an actor. He probably has many women he has worked with over the years that would love a shot with him, but he is still with Paradis after all these years. I cannot blame her for being paranoid. It has little to do with trust…I’m sure Jennifer trusted Brad, and that was the downfall of their marriage. I’m sure she never expected him to cheat on her with his co-star. I would be paranoid if my husband was working with a beautiful actress with a reputation so closely! it isn’t hard to start developing feelings for someone when you work closely with them for long periods of time, let alone filming intimate scenes.
