Jonah Hill paid only $60,000 for Wolf of Wall Street

Surprise, surprise: funny man Jonah Hill spilled a shocking secret about his role as Donnie Azoff in Martin Scorsese‘s The Wolf of Wall Street. In a radio interview with Howard Stern on Tuesday, the comedian revealed that he was paid the minimum salary for his role in the film – to be exact: “60 grand before commissions and taxes for almost a seven-month shoot.” For him, working with the legendary director was the only investment he was interested in. Jonah went on to explain why he wanted the role despite the low pay: “Scorsese, he’s the best in the world at what he does… Every actor in the world wants to work with Martin Scorsese.” He also revealed that he had to wait for two months after auditioning to find out if he won the role. He said: “They gave me the lowest amount of money possible… and I said, ‘I will sign the papers tonight. Fax me the papers…’ I said, ‘I wanna sign them before I go to sleep tonight, so they legally can’t change their mind’. ~Yara Matar

And most people make half of that in one year…… big deal.

$60,000 to masturbate on screen and make an ass of himself. I hope it was worth it.
