Josh Hartnett plastered at fashion show

Josh Hartnett at the new Armani store opening in NYC on February 17Actor Josh Hartnett was reportedly stumbling around muttering incoherently at the Narciso Rodriguez fashion show afterparty at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City on Tuesday. He seemed sober enough earlier that day, when arriving at the new Armani store opening on 5th Avenue, but New York Magazine reports that later on, while they were conducting an interview with someone else for Fashion Week, Hartnett stumbled into a nearby empty booth, sending multiple glasses of champagne crashing to the floor. When a reporter asked him if he’d be willing to answer some questions, he seemed confused, replying, “Sure. I mean, okay … actually, no. Sorry, I’m half-lit.” Harnett’s career has had a setback since his 2006 movies The Black Dahlia and Lucky Number Slevin both underperformed at the box office. Resurrecting the Champ (2007), co-starring Samuel L. Jackson, was an even bigger bomb. Hartnett has several low budget films due out this year, but as yet they don’t have distributors and may not even make it to theaters.

who cares if he was drunk? at least he wasnt driving himself home lol. and that really sucks that his movies have been bombing, i really like him as an actor.

I would care if he was drunk if I was there and he affected my enjoyment of the event. (Not everyone thinks a drunk is fun or funny).

The bigger question is not “who cares if he was drunk” but “who cares about josh hartnet”. Why devote a poll to him??

I like him as an actor and wondered why he hasn’t been in anything lately. I guess now we know why.

People who drink sometimes get drunk – at least he wasn’t running around screaming and yelling picking fights like other celebrities do when out in public – his career isn’t doing so well – give the guy a break. Like mandee said at least he wasn’t driving around putting other people in danger. Must be a slow gossip day .. this really isn’t news breaking stuff. Guy gets drunk and breaks some glasses – that is every night in small town / big city bars and clubs

well, anyone can think of a million better things for a person to do other than publicly getting drunk and falling into furniture as well as a million worse things.

It doesn’t make his public appearance any prettier, maybe just makes him more human and vulnerable to making embaressing choices.

Re the 2 mentioned movies…Dahlia and Slevin…saw both and absolutely despised them. He seems like an okay guy and hopefully he’ll get a good acting role soon, and if not, he’ll remember to set the table with plastic dinnerware.

just some fun, people…relax Josh fans

this really sucks for him. if the story is true it sucks even more that people are saying its because he has had a career setback and making him look like an out of work actor (which is justified but still. i just feel bad they;re saying all this about him). maybe he got drunk just because. i don;t know… i think he’s a good actor. its so hard being in the public eye.

looks like there are quite a few people who like and show a little concern for the man. getting drunk is not the best thing for someone in the public eye but being human is forgivable for someone that seems to be an all round good guy who is just having a bad day. keep yur chin up, Josh…

I agree with star, Monique, Mandee and Reuben TK. That’s all I’m saying about it!! And I could not agree more that at least he does not drink and drive like a lot of others do and get caught and still do!!

  13. mandee • February 22, 2009 @ 4:43 AM

well, at least he didnt get drunk and beat his girlfriend…lol so, there ARE a lot of worse things he COULD be doing. i get that some people could consider him a role model to others, but pretty much EVERYONE has gotten drunk at one time or another. why make it into a big deal or criticize him or talk bad about him because of it? what is slevin about? ive never saw it, but i really liked him in hollywood homicide and 30 days of night. there was a few others, but i cant think of them right now lol its 342am.

Mandee, I think it is NO big deal, as many stories on here illustrate, just think about the many totally petty things we read about in celebrity “news”…that’s just it, the public does lap it up, just look how popular this site is. Stuff like this is printed alongside serious stuff like the Rihanna report.

They all invite comment and I guess like many have said on here so many times, it does qualify as “news” on a gossip site to read about Harnett’s drinking episode or Scarlett’s snotty tissue or…well, you get the idea.

yeah thats true, but i just dont think people should judge the stars that are acting human lmfao.

I think Josh Hartnett is a very multi-talented actor, I enjoy all his movies especially August and he was wonderful when I went to see him in Rain Man.
Who cares if he goes to a party and has a drink!? He’s a grown man, he isn’t the first to do so and certainly won’t be the last.
