Katie Holmes considering Sex in the City

Katie Holmes has been offered a role in the sequel to Sex and the City, according to The Sun. She’ll play a “feisty New York businesswoman” who becomes involved with PR boss Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall). “The character they want her to play is a really ballsy, high-powered company executive who tangles with Samantha,” said an insider. Holmes, who has been concentrating on raising her three-year-old daughter Suri with husband Tom Cruise, last appeared on the big screen in the comedy Mad Money. She’s currently filming the horror Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark in Australia. Sex and the City 2 is expected to begin filming this autumn, for a May 28, 2010 release.
