Kim Kardashian filing for divorce from Kris Humphries

Newlywed Kim Kardashian, 31, is filing for divorce today from her husband of 72 days, Kris Humphries, according to TMZ.com. She will apparently cite ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the grounds for the divorce. The couple, who married in August, has been the focus of media reports claiming the marriage was on the rocks in the past few weeks. Kim has hired divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, who has dealt with celebrity clients such as Britney Spears, Maria Shriver, Angelina Jolie and Ryan Reynolds. Kim, who’s worth a reported $35 million, made sure to have a prenuptial agreement in place before the wedding, although her 26-year-old NBA star husband isn’t hurting for money — he makes $3.2 million a year with the New Jersey Nets and has $16 million in total earnings from the NBA — although just 10 days ago, it was reported that he’d lost hundreds of thousands of dollars to scam artist Andrey Hicks.
