Kristen Stewart: All I can do is act

By Alexandra Heilbron on September 8, 2010 | 15 Comments

Kristen Stewart says she would have “a lot of pent-up energy” if she wasn’t acting because she can’t do anything else. The 20-year-old American is best known for her role as Bella Swan in the Twilight movie series and is one of Hollywood’s hottest young talents. Kristen thinks if she hadn’t made it as an actress, she would have struggled to find a career to suit her personality and skills set. “I would have a lot of pent-up energy. It would be very frustrating. I’m not good at anything else. I’m bad with my hands. I can’t make stuff,” she confessed in an interview with Stylist magazine. “Acting is so self-indulgent and self-reflective and we just think about people and how they deal with one another. That’s probably what I’d continue to do,” she said. “I’d be the over-analytical girl who writes.” Kristen also discussed Hollywood star as role models and says youngsters should never try to copy somebody just because of their celebrity. “Actors as role models? I think a lot of girls have role models they don’t want to emulate specifically. Not everyone is perfect,” she said.

She probably knows how to type — there’s a lot of jobs right there. She could probably do all kinds of other things, she just hasn’t opened up her mind to all the possibilities. I can’t “make stuff” either, but that didn’t make me decide I had to be an actor.

Something would have popped up for her…it does for most of us.

I hate to break it to her, but she can’t act either.

    Ha. So true Amy.

I’m not a big fan of the Twilight series but she was pretty good in Into the Wild event though it was a small role

She was great in the Cake Eaters and Speak as well….not to mention the Runaways….

That’s what job placement programs are for, or Manpower/Kelly’s temp services lol. Plus if she can just stop playing teenagers with angst, maybe she will find a roll as a writer or court typist or custodian or secretary or astronaught and think to herself hey, I can do this..then quit ‘acting’ or as I like to call it tilting her head down and barely moving her lips and mumbling.

What talent does she have….We shall see…..I bet lindsay lohan career take’s off (i know i am dreaming) before kristen does. I compare her career with that of hudson (without the award), both ladies are one time wonders.

kristen meant she can be all different types of people, she has action in her life, she can run around and do things she wouldnt be able to do in an office job, or factory job.

those of you who think she cant act, she wouldnt still be an actress if she was as terrible as you few think she is. when she is put in the right movie, she does an excellent job.

does the phrase “do you want fries with that” not ring any bells for her?

thats really rude tracy, and considering im in the fast food industry, i find it rather offensive. some people have no choice but to work in fast food because of poor choices they made when they were still children.

agree, Annie and I think she was perfectly cast in all the Twilight series, suited the role to a T….quite sure almost anyone has a few “hidden talents” they’ds be capable of re employment, but she chose what suited her desires best and good for her…why type for $10 an hour when you discover you can make so much more than that and in a profession you identify with and enjoy?
