Magazine bans Paris

Paris HiltonIf you’re sick of hearing about Paris Hilton, you’re not alone. US Weekly refuses to feature her on the cover of this week’s issue. In fact, she won’t be mentioned in the upcoming mag at all. How can this be? “When it came down to it, the staff and I felt what I believe a lot of people in America are feeling. Which is just enormous Paris fatigue,” US Weekly editor Janice Min told The Associated Press. “I don’t think,” she joked, “we even mention the city of Paris.” Hilton will, however, be on the cover of People magazine, with the headline “My Time Behind Bars.”

THIS IS SO UNFAIR! C’mon, people, hasn’t Paris suffered enough??

  2. Loverboy • June 27, 2007 @ 6:01 PM

No one is sick of hearing about the beautiful and ravishing Paris. The more we hear about her, the more we want to hear about her. The negative press about her is an exhilarating clue that she has so much to offer this world, what with her beauty, talent, fame, and fortune. She’s a goddess in the making. One need not be perfect to be excellent. Give her some room to breathe, please.

  3. Celebrity Gossip • June 27, 2007 @ 8:28 PM

It definately something the press should write about – a great story and a funny oxymoron: Princess-Diva goes to Jail… but now it’s boring! I appreciate US Weekly for their bold move!

  4. john • June 27, 2007 @ 9:05 PM

by putting her on magazine and tv shows we are turing her troubles with the law into some publicity stunt. She needs to know that what she did was wrong and she should not profit from it in any way. What do u mean give her a break? she does something wrong, just like any of us she should pay and in no way profit from it. shes got everything most of us never will have… and you want us to make her life even easier by allowing her to be immune from the law. This type of “Junk” should not make the front pages. Did u konw that genocide is occuring in Sudan as we speak. almost a million people dead. That barely makes itin hte news, but Paris hilton and her stupidity does. What a shame.

  5. Anonymous • June 27, 2007 @ 10:53 PM

she doesn’t need or deserve any more publicity! She’s a fuckall, all she has is her father’s and grandfather’s name. That’s the only reason why she got all that fame! Let’s all move on to someone else who has something to say to change the world! what about all these actors who are taking care of greater causes such as the Global Warming, publicity about the ones making a change in our world! Leonardo Di Caprio, Al Gore, Angelina Jolie, Julia Roberts, etc…

  6. Annon • June 28, 2007 @ 12:02 AM

All I can say is FINALLY!!! I am so sick of hearing about her, not that she’s a bad person, but lets get real…what does she actually offer the world as a celebrity other than obscene scandals. I’m so sick of the superficial news about her. There are actually beautiful taleted and intelligent celebrities in the world who actually do something with thier position, lets here more about thier work and the REAL news out thier in the world past Doir.

  7. Lisa • June 28, 2007 @ 3:08 AM

My comment is too Pork ‘n’ Beans at the top there. You must be kidding me. Paris should still be in jail. Why does she get special treatment? Drinking and driving is a huge crime that the world can’t get a hold on. It is almost like attempted murder in my eyes. Everytime anyone gets behind the wheel of a vechile intoxicated they are putting theirs and everyone elses lives on the line. And this stunt with Paris has not helped the cause at all. All it has done is glammerized the dangerous crime. I think everyone that feels sorry for the spoiled princess should meet someones family that has been killed by a drunk driver and the the damage it does to people. Then lets see how you feel. Shame on you all. Good for the US Weekly.

  8. az • June 28, 2007 @ 3:55 AM

who cares about US WEEKLY that crappy magazine with all lies and ridiculous stores. its 2007 people read celebrity drama on interent sites the day/time it happens not wait for another week to read. this jail thing just made her more famous which is awesome. i love her. i dont remeber mel gibson going to jail and that gay home renovater both were fined or something so why PAris.. actually she went coz everyone gives soo much shitt about her they had no choice but to send her in there to prove that no one is above the law. meanwhile everyone with a few millions is above the law.

  9. Jokeymaster • June 28, 2007 @ 4:25 AM

Pari deserved every bit of wat she got. And it is the responsibility of the media to not turn her punishment into a publicity stunt for her. Two thumbs up for US Weekly. Also people out there who still think that this was unfair, well they are still under her ‘Sex Tape’ influence…people grow up…

  10. Pork 'n' Beans • June 28, 2007 @ 9:54 AM

Shame on US Weekly! I hope they go bankrupt when people turn to all the OTHER magazines for news of Paris. Better yet, Paris should do like Oprah and start her OWN magazine!

  11. Pringles • June 28, 2007 @ 11:44 AM

I agree, this is not fair…She suffer enough , she is the nicest girl ever, even though i never met her…but that’s not the issue @ the moment, she went in jail to do her time and she managed to complete her time and jail ..and i give her props on that ..she went back to finnish it and she did it..so i am so verry proud of her.

  12. Jonathan • June 29, 2007 @ 7:21 AM

Paris should be executed by firing squad at dawn…then the world would be a better place. LOL!

  13. L Clapson • June 29, 2007 @ 10:16 AM

Here! Here! I’m totally with you on this one! Enough is enough of seeing and hearing about this person who did a mere week in jail. At least this is one magazine that has something more newsworthy to print

  14. teeka3405 • June 29, 2007 @ 10:19 AM

Look … Paris has done her time. I watched Larry King with Paris and she has admitted that her time in jail was a big time out for her. Time out?? That is for little kids who dont understand why they are being punished. She should have done the full 45 days. Regular people get more than 45 days and they have to serve all of their time, plus lose their licence. I think the jail term wasnt long enough. I would like to hear more of the business she owns than all of this scandal. I hope she does see the light and change her partying ways. Also, get rid of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and any others that are in the news right now. I dont want to hear about them either. The media loves to blow things out of context and they are famous for that. Who cares about the drinking, drugs, and not enough clothes on these girls who are screaming out for help cause they dont know how to handle being famous. Dont get me wrong, but these girls have had a great run on the screen and music industry, but they need a break without the paparazzi hounding them every minute of the day. I blame the media, I blame the paparazzi, and I also blame the fans who buy these scandal magazines which are lies in the first place. Place yourself in their shoes.. do you want to be hounded everyday, every minute, seven days a week??? I wouldn’t want that for myself at all. I would like to see the media play more of the Good that these kids are doing, not the Bad, or the Ugly. I for one do not buy these scandal magazines. I wished everyone else would do the same.

  15. David • June 29, 2007 @ 10:28 AM

I think we could really do with out the Paris Hilton in the press here in Canada. She didn’t even deserve the initial 15 minutes of fame. Get rid of her in all of the media. Hot, totally not.

  16. Margo • June 29, 2007 @ 11:00 AM

I agree with the magazine wholeheartedly! Finally someone has gotten it.
The world should more interested in what their government’s foreign policy is doing than whatever Paris Hilton is doing?Come on people Wake up!!! Get informed about what really matters instead of celebrity nonsense. And she isn’t even a celebrity?! LOL
She is born into a wealthy family and has exploited her family’s name in order to satisfy her own narcissism. What a horrible role model for young women to see plastered on pages of magaazines! So thanks for raising the bar becasue WE ARE SICK OF NOT HOT PARIS HILTON@!!

  17. M • June 29, 2007 @ 11:08 AM

    I agree with Lisa
that someone who gets arrested for drunk driving gets out in a week?!? What message does that send to the world about that crime ? What does that say to the families of the victims of drunk driving ? That being from a rich family gets you special priveleges that you don’t have to be responsible for your actions? And you people who wrote oh she is so adorable and I feel sorry for her.. Wake up! She broke the law! Would you say that if she killed your friend or one of your family or even a stranger? Would you still feel sorry for her and thinks she’s hot? Now she is out scott free after a week and who knows what damage she is going to do now.
Drunk Driving is a huge problem inthe u.s. and they need to wake up and deal with it and this has just set the country back yet again.. Shocking and shameful.

  18. Eleanor Dorst • June 29, 2007 @ 11:11 AM

Allelujiah!!!….people are finally coming to their senses. Paris craps and we all have to stand and watch.. Did she invent the cure for cancer, discover a new planet, or put an end to all wars???…why are we so fascinated with this blonde bimbo..God, if only the rest of the media could follow suit and ban all Paris sightings.Bravo to you!

  19. pp • June 29, 2007 @ 11:17 AM

WELL THANK GODDDDDDDDDDDD FOR THAT… MY PRAYERS ARE COMING TRUE LOOOLL.. geezz how much i hate that girl.

  20. Senior Goddess in my own mind • June 29, 2007 @ 12:44 PM

I’m feeling SO bad for Paris………NOT!!!
My niece has cancer and while she’s on chemo treatments with no hair and not able to eat anything because of the sores in her mouth, handling facing death with grace – there’s MY role model. What has Paris ever accomplished? When people idolize this trash, it’s no wonder our world is in the mess it’s in. And for people who think she’s all that – were YA all dropped on your heads??

  21. Anonymous • June 29, 2007 @ 2:19 PM

I agree with John and Lisa, there are more important things in the world than Paris Hilton. She has not earned her fame in any way and should be punished like the rest of us. For instance when she first got out of jail she was paid one million dollars to go on a show. WHAT IS THIS COMPENSATION!!!! Anyways, US weekly was right in their reasoning. People are sick of hearing about her. As for pringles, pork ‘n’ beans, and Loverboy I get the feeling that you have all had head injuries along the way. Perhaps you could consider looking up to someone who has actually done something to help others.

  22. Common Sense • June 29, 2007 @ 6:03 PM

Her time behind bars…How come little Kim never got this kind of HUGE publicity for her time behind bars. At least she went to jail for doing something she morally felt was right. Paris is a flippin drunk, coked out wh*%$. Who does nothing at but continue to disrespect her fans, her family and most importantly herself. GOOD JOB US WEEKLY…

  23. Christine • June 29, 2007 @ 8:40 PM

There are way more important issues in this world, than to constantly hear about ‘poor’ little Miss Rich Princess all the time.

I applaund US weekly, the editor, and their staff for not caving in! I’ve never pusrchased their magazine, but I feel very inspored to do so now.

    Bravo!!

  24. Donna • June 29, 2007 @ 10:32 PM

Children going to school hungry with pains in their little bellies, children dying from horrible diseases, such as cancer, as their parents watch in pure suffering, children abused daily without voices to speak for them. THAT”S NEWS!!! Not poor little spoiled brats (Paris Hilton) who are worried about tiny bedroom (cells) and not having gourmet meals for lunch. My heart suffers for real people with real problems. And my prayers go out to those children who actually really need them. God bless ‘little ones’.

  25. Wind Breaker • June 30, 2007 @ 7:54 AM

The people dissing Paris are just jealous they can’t afford to dress like her.

  26. Metoyou • June 30, 2007 @ 8:29 AM

For people who want to hear about her “GET A LIFE!!” please!! She needs one too because she doesn’t realise what is important in life…

  27. sickandtired • June 30, 2007 @ 2:10 PM

Well it is about time most definitely,I agree with US Weekly for not having anything to do with her in their magazine. That girl would be nobody if not for her grandfather. She is spoiled and needs to grow up real fast, maybe even do something good in this world. I would like to see that. There are a few others in the news that need a lesson in life too.Maybe someday these people will grow up and do something tot benefit someone else beside themselves..

  28. Velvet • July 1, 2007 @ 10:57 AM

For someone with the opportunity to give back due to the wealth she was born into, she gives nothing back…only takes. She is self-absorbed. Her parents get the “worst parents of the year” award. Her claim to fame is for doing a sex video with her then boyfriend. What a marvelous role model she is for young girls, that videotaping your sex brings you fame and fortune. And we wonder why our young generation is dazed and confused with a lack of self worth, morale values and a strong worth ethic that will get them far in life. Sad. I buy no “celebrity magazines” and will turn off the TV when she comes on. There are much more important events going on in the world and the Hilton family is not one of them.

  29. Ed Davis • July 1, 2007 @ 12:31 PM

    I’m never buying US again.

  30. Ron • July 1, 2007 @ 4:55 PM

Paris Hilton has on thing that most of us don’t have tons of money! I’m sure the judge that sentanced her to the time in Jail wanted her to learn a lesson. But only she can prove she learnt something. She is a spoiled brat that now has an oppertunity to turn her life around and give back. Lets see if she can do something with the half a brain she has.
But I don’t know if I would bet my pay check on it?

  31. I JUST FARTED • July 1, 2007 @ 5:56 PM

Ron, that judge was only out to make a name for himself by sending Paris to prison. Clearly, it’s not where the most famous woman in the world belongs.

  32. Firm Thighs • July 1, 2007 @ 6:04 PM

Count me in on the US boycott! Paris did her time and should be applauded for that. As someone said earlier, people are just jealous because they can’t afford to dress like her.

  33. Secret Friend • July 1, 2007 @ 6:11 PM

I won’t be buying that magazine, either.

  34. az • July 1, 2007 @ 6:48 PM

all these young celebrities have their home pornos and some have naked pics somewhere but PARIS HILTON because shes is not just a celebrity. SHe is an heiress, she is an actor, she is hot, she has a book, she has a tv show, she has a perfume, she has a show and hand bag line, she also gets What she Wants. and people who are against her.. its PURE JELOUSY.. its true that people cant see other people happy. and PAris is more than just happy..she HAS IT ALL!!

  35. Perfection in a Pink Bikini • July 1, 2007 @ 11:12 PM

She’s a better role model than 50 Cent or George W. Bush, that’s for sure.

  36. tomy • July 2, 2007 @ 9:16 AM

i persnally think paris hilton is very spoiled and so are all of the other young stars.paris hilton gets away with anything i mean like 2 days ago she got the cops to buy some cupcakes at a store called sprinkles. what is wrong with us these days i mean paris hilton gets her own jail door just because shes rich. like dude we should treat her like other jail people,oh yeah and paris you stink at acting in movies and get a life.

  37. Anonymous • July 2, 2007 @ 4:38 PM

In response to Firm thighs Paris should not be applauded she has done nothing but be a MORON FOR HER WHOLE LIFE!!!! As for people being jealous of her because they cant afford to dress like her??? Where in the heck have you been, she is not a rolemodel and the world would likely be better off with dimwits like her in it. Seriosly are you so hard headed that you cannot see has acomplished nothing but to be a drunk who does not care for others AT ALLLL!!!!!!!!!

  38. Firm Thighs • July 3, 2007 @ 3:02 AM

Anonymous, you said “the world would likely be better off with dimwits like her in it,” so you obviously think Paris is doing something RIGHT…

  39. mic • July 3, 2007 @ 6:53 PM

    well..it’s about time.
all these magazines going on about…well, really, think about it…a nobody.all she has is the name.she has NO talent at all.and shes not pretty at all.

all I have to say is …….THANK YOU,for putting out the trash

  40. bs • December 31, 2008 @ 4:34 PM
