Movie fans can win tickets to the Oscars

Movie fans can enter a random online drawing to win tickets to sit in the bleachers on the red carpt for the 81st Academy Awards, held on February 22, 2009. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced this week that they’re offering 300 seats in front of the Kodak Theater at Hollywood and Highland Center in Los Angeles. The contest begins Monday morning and ends on September 28th. Applicants can register for up to four seats at www.oscars.org/bleachers. Last year, 20,000 fans applied, so give yourself a chance by signing up early. Good luck!

   I have dreamed of going to the Oscars all my life. I know most comments were probably the same, but I’m hoping my timing (so close to Oscar night), or my age (61) will make the difference!
