nadia_lloydThe Liberty Village Art Crawl is fast approaching! The Toronto Art Crawl is launching its first annual Christmas show and sale just in time for the holidays. Artist Nadia Lloyd founded the Toronto Art Crawl in 2013 “to connect and introduce this talent to [the] population at large.” She explains that the festival “gives artists like myself an opportunity to showcase our skills, and make a living creating, and it gives our show attendees an opportunity to own unique, one-of-a-kind pieces they would not have access to otherwise.” The festival unites, acknowledges and celebrates the artists and artisans each year in three of Toronto’s hottest neighbourhoods: Liberty Village, City Place and the Entertainment District. Since the founding of the festival it has been voted one of the top 5 outdoor art fairs in Toronto by blogTO.

This year the Christmas Show and Sale will be hosted at the Liberty Towers Presentation Centre, running from November 21 to 23 and is sure to have something for everyone. Over three days, the festival features 60 artists offering an assortment of handmade and unique pieces including jewellery, fashion, pottery, body care, photography, pet accessories, art and more. The festival is an event to experience, with DJs, food vendors, Christmas-themed games and prizes, interactive activities, live painting demonstrations and a sexy Santa contest. Whether you’re looking to check off a few items from your Christmas shopping list or just looking for inspiration, the festival is sure to deliver. On top of all of this admission is free!

Excited yet? Well you’re about to be because Tribute.ca will be featuring a contest for one of Nadia’s paintings with a value of $2,000! Nadia is a self-taught abstract artist who recently began painting in 2010. On her website Nadia describes her art as “Bold, urban, modern, complex, upscale and sexy.” So make sure to check back to find out when the contest launches. ~Janine Wyslobicky
