One Direction big winners at MTV EMA Awards

The MTV Europe Music Awards presented a grand kick-off in Miami on November 9. Nick Cannon played host to a number of celebrities, including Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran. Audiences were all over Nick Jonas’ hot performance of “Jealous” in the rain with very seductive dance moves. Nick’s relationship with Olivia Culpo has been well documented over the years, and has been cited as an inspiration for the new hit. The musicians then headed to Scotland for the awards ceremony, hosted by Nicki Minaj. Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson of One Direction were the ultimate victors of the night, taking home three awards for Best Pop, Best Live and Biggest Fans. Katy Perry followed with two awards of her own, winning Best Video for “Dark Horse” and Best Look.
Surprising performances of the evening included Alicia Keys, who debuted a prominent baby bump. The star is expecting her second child early next year. Ariana Grande, 21, also wowed with her performance of “Problem,” floating over audiences in a clear sphere.
