Chris Brown and Rihanna in January 2009On her show on Friday, Oprah opened up about her feelings concerning Rihanna’s reconciliation with Chris Brown after he allegedly viciously beat the 21-year-old singer. Here’s what she had to say: “Chris Brown and Rihanna, if I was your friend, I would call you up and I would say, ‘Give it some time, get yourself some counseling, take care of yourself. Heal yourself first.”’ She additionally advised, “And also, love doesn’t hurt. I’ve been saying this to women for years: ‘If a man hits you once, he will hit you again.'”

well maybe, even though I am sure many many others have pointed exact same out to Rihanna, because her “friend” Oprah publicly states this – she will listen?????? I have my doubts.

I’m doubting it too, Rhianna will likely go down the same road as many abused women, dumping him, then listening to all his sweettalk, then forgiving him and believing him, then taking him back, and the cycle continues. What a shame. I hope she wakes up before it’s too late and he does irreparable damage.
(ok, I know my spelling is bad today, I’m pretty tired! sorry!)

Oprah should realize teens don’t listen, and that they’re driven by hormones.
