Paula Abdul shocked by death

American Idol judge Paula Abdul said she was “shocked and saddened” after a woman, who once appeared as a contestant on season five, was found dead of a drug overdose near her home. Paula Goodspeed, 30, who was discovered in a car alongside prescription drugs, CDs and pictures of Abdul, was said to be an obsessed fan of the pop star. Abdul said in a statement released by her publicist Jeff Ballard: “I am deeply shocked and saddened at what transpired yesterday. My heart and prayers go out to her family.” Goodspeed failed to reach the next round on Idol after receiving poor reviews from Abdul and fellow judges Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell.
Now, if this poor fan was found outside Madonna’s home, we’d have some big time chatter going on here!
I don’t consider her to be a “poor fan”….more along the lines of a WHACKO!! As for Paula, this will just be another reason to stay pickled!
I thought they would put her picture not Paula’s. Then again we have to respect the families privacy… My heart goes out to the family…To anyone who might be reading this please seek a friend trust in God, once you’re alive there is a chance to turn things around but when you’re dead that’s it and then your family is traumatized for the rest of their lives so i want to take this opportunity to say to someone right now STOP. God have a way of turning things around.
when you do drugs this is what happens.half the people they move forward on the show should never get on the stage,but that makes good for tv.how is it that no one heard that this girl was obbessed with paula untill now.just because she had oictures and music from her don;t mean she is obbessed.maybe it’s all in her head.good for news.

Some here need to lighten up. I don’t question her talent, I just don’t like her persona. She has always been so outspoken about her unhappy single status,and always pining about finding her ‘true love’ to the media. She wears her heart on her sleeve, and I think it’s pathetic.
And she’s always drunk!
I think Demigod and tributegirl are usually pretty funny – it’s that mandee that lacks a sense of humour (unless she’s only kidding about believing Angelina to be a good person – then I get it). Everyone needs to lighten up. I don’t think there’s any reason to take offense to Demigod’s comment, Paula is a funky choice on whom to idolize. It’s too bad she had troubles which led her to suicide…
