Skye McCole Bartusiak

Skye McCole Bartusiak had many acting credits from both TV and feature films under her belt since her first appearance in 1999, but she is best remembered for portraying Susan Martin, the daughter of Mel Gibson’s character in The Patriot. She died at the age of 21 in her sleep—the result of an accidental drug overdose—in her Texas home. Her mother reported to CNN at the time that prior to her death, she suffered from epileptic seizures.
