Blue Velvet (1986)

Jeffrey Beaumont and Sandy Williams (Kyle MacLachlan and Laura Dern) - This film profiles the bizarre and seductive underbelly of a supposedly idyllic suburban American town. From twisted desires to dark and mysterious relationships, the movie exposes the town of Lumberton's absurd truths. It's only appropriate that the final line, delivered simultaneously by a student named Jeffrey and a detective's daughter named Sandy, pays homage to the peculiar existence brought to screen. "It's a strange world, isn't it?" That it is.
