Samuel L. Jackson – Unbreakable

During the '90s Samuel L. Jackson made a name for himself playing some of the more intense, vocal, and boisterous roles of the decade. Best remembered for his iconic role as Jules Winnfield in Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction, the stark contrast of his performance in M. Night Shyamalan's Unbreakable would be like night and day. As Mr. Glass, Jackson's performance was more subdued and nuanced, working as a bit of a mentor figure for Bruce Willis' David Dunn. In a role that required more restraint from the actor, Jackson's ability to command the screen was on full display in this film, bringing a different level of intensity to his role.
