Sandra Bullock – Gravity (2013)

With Alfonso Cuarón's 2013 sci-fi thriller Gravity we get a rare case of an actor earning both top dollar for their salary, as well as a solid return on the film's box office earnings. Star Sandra Bullock was paid $20 million upfront for the role and earned an additional $50 million thanks to her contract, including a 15 percent cut of the box office earnings for a combined payday of $70 million.
