Tom Cruise – Mission: Impossible Franchise (1996-Present)

The Mission: Impossible franchise has been one of the most profitable series ever in Hollywood. The earnings for star Tom Cruise are on par with other franchise heavyweights like Johnny Depp with the Pirates of the Caribbean series and Robert Downey Jr. with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For the original Mission: Impossible, Cruise took home $70 million. For the second and third outings he brought in an additional $75 million each before taking a slight pay cut to just $70 million for 2011's Ghost Protocol. Unfortunately, the numbers for his back-end deals with Rogue Nation and Fallout aren't available, but we do know he earned upfront salaries of $25 and $28 million for each film. All told that's at least $343 million for the action star and considering his deals for Rogue Nation and Fallout are likely to be in line with the previous entries that's likely an additional $100 million on top.
