Peter Jackson’s Tintin Sequel

When you have industry titans like Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg collaborating on a project you have to take notice. The two filmmakers were planning on making an animated trilogy of films adapting Belgian cartoonist Hergé's The Adventures of Tintin. The first film would find Steven Spielberg in the director's chair with Jackson producing, while the follow-up film would have them switch roles. The third film would be a toss-up for them to decide, but all things said it was a powerhouse collaboration on a beloved comic series that had fans excited. Throw in a talented cast headlined by Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, and Daniel Craig and you should have had a surefire hit. The film did well enough at the box office and it was a critical hit as well—yet it's been years since we last heard of Jackson's Tintin sequel. It's unlikely Jackson or Spielberg will revisit it anytime soon.
