A Silent Voice: The Movie (2016)

In this Japanese animated film, a girl named Shoko Nishimiya transfers to a school where a boy named Shoya Ishida leads the class in bullying Shoko, because she is deaf. She moves away and he is then ostracized by his classmates. Years later, tormented by the past, he sets off on a path for redemption. A Silent Voice: The Movie has a Rotten Tomatoes approval rating of 94 percent and won Best Film and Best Original Screenplay at the 2017 Tokyo Anime Awards.
