King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017)

The legend of King Arthur is one that hasn't particularly translated well onscreen. In contrast to Antoine Fuqua and Disney's King Arthur, which attempted to give the legend a more grounded and historical feel, Guy Ritchie went for a more stylized approach. Featuring Ritchie's more snappy approach to dialogue and editing and a fantasy setting akin to The Lord of the Rings, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword looked to be a promising new spin on an old tale. What audiences ended up getting was all flash/no substance and for all of its visual flair, didn't offer up anything new.
