Men in Black: International (2019)

After a seven-year hiatus, the Men in Black franchise returned with a new spin-off entry titled Men in Black: International. With director F. Gary Gray as director and starring Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, Men in Black: International had all the promise of a riveting blockbuster ahead of them. The star duo of Hemsworth and Thompson were coming off much-loved success of Thor: Ragnarok and Sony was looking to bank on their chemistry for this film, perhaps so much that the rest of the film just didn't quite live up to the talents of its two leads. With the Men in Black franchise going worldwide now, there should have been more excitement and wonder to behold, but International wound up being just more of the same with less ambition and an overreliance on its stars' chemistry. F. Gary Gray and his stars do the best with the material they were given, but that material needed a bigger punch-up.
