Amadeus (1984)

As prolific and famous a figure as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is, the lens through which he is viewed in this historical drama is almost entirely false. The central crux of the film is the rivalry between Tom Hulce's Mozart and F. Murray Abraham's Antonio Salieri. However, in reality it's highly debatable whether such a rivalry existed between the two men. The idea is entirely conjecture with no real proof in historical fact. The only source for such a feud comes from Alexander Pushkin's 1830 play, which depicts Salieri murdering Mozart.
