Buried (2010)

Though Ryan Reynolds has been around for a while, he spent much of the late 2000s looking to establish some firm footing in Hollywood. His 2010 mystery thriller Buried offered one of his early opportunities to showcase his dramatic skills—and Reynolds delivered. As a bottle film, with it taking place entirely within a box coffin, the film is surprisingly visceral with its limited landscape. It’s one of Reynolds’ best performances to date, and one that many of his fans are unaware of.
