Compliance (2012)

Though Compliance doesn’t feature any A-list talent, it’s one of the more engrossing dramas on this list. Inspired by true events, the film follows a local fast food manager receiving a call from a “police officer” informing her that one of her employees was reported to have stolen money from another woman. Simple as the premise is, the film puts the spotlight on an average person’s ability to comply with someone deemed to be an authoritative figure, and how far they are willing to go in spite of every sign saying that maybe they’re going too far.
