Creep (2014)

Easily one of the most unnerving films on this list, Creep is also one of the tamest. Capitalizing on the found footage genre, Creep finds new ground without going into the typical supernatural territory that Paranormal Activity and its ilk relied upon. Instead the film is centered on a series of mostly improvised conversations that are seemingly normal, but that hint at something darker. The film works as a perfect example of Stellan Skarsgård’s conversation with Daniel Craig in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo about why people don’t leave immediately when they can sense danger around the corner.
