Jared Leto – Chapter 27

Years before his award-winning performance in Dallas Buyers Club, Jared Leto underwent an entirely different transformation to play Mark Chapman, the real-life murderer of John Lennon. He gained 67 pounds for the role, but said afterwards he would never do it again or advise anyone else to do it. He told The Guardian: "Really, it's a stupid thing to do. I got gout, and my cholesterol went up so fast in such a short time that my doctors wanted to put me on Lipitor, which is for much, much older people." Although the film didn't get much notice, Jared did win an award for Best Performance at the Zurich Film Festival.
