Never Have I Ever (Netflix)

This coming-of-age comedy/drama follows the life of first-generation Indian-American teenager Devi Vishwakumar, played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, a Canadian actress of Tamil origin. Maitreyi gives a fantastic performance in her first on-screen role. The series is extremely binge-worthy and weaves together a relatable experience of a first-generation Indian-American as she balances her mother's cultural expectations with her own, while navigating high school, friendships and love. This is a great moment for South Asian representation on screen and we'd like to see more.
