Fast Five (2011) / Fast & Furious 6 (2013) / Furious 7 (2015) / The Fate of the Furious (2017)

This decade saw the Fast & Furious franchise shift gears beginning with director Justin Lin’s third entry into the franchise: Fast Five. The film saw the franchise tackle the heist genre and introduced fan favorite Luke Hobbs. Fast & Furious 6 saw our street racers enter the world of counter terrorism, while Furious 7 and The Fate of the Furious found them entering the world of espionage. Much like the Mission: Impossible franchise, each subsequent installment looked to up the ante and deliver ever-increasing thrills, which should continue with the franchise’s first spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw, this year.
