Mike Myers – Shrek, Shrek

In a sadder recasting, Mike Myers wasn’t the original choice to voice the title role in Shrek. The late Chris Farley was the original choice and had actually recorded most, if not all, of his lines for the character prior to his passing in 1997. Rather than using the work that had already been recorded, DreamWorks Animation opted to recast the role with Mike Myers, who gave his own take on the character by giving him a Scottish accent, making Shrek one of the comedian’s more iconic roles in his career.
