Chevy Chase

Chevy Chase, who can be seen above in one his hilarious SNL skits, was almost electrocuted to death. In a scene for his film Modern Problems (1981) in which his character was dreaming that he was an airplane with landing lights, Chevy had a series of lights strapped to his arms. When the crew turned on the lights, Chevy was electrocuted. Mistaking his screams for a joke, the crew left the lights on instead of turning them off. Chevy almost died and suffered a period of deep depression for a couple of years following his near death experience.
