Gerard Butler

Gerard Butler, seen above in a scene from The Bounty Hunter (2010), was on the set his film Chasing Mavericks (2012) in Northern California when he was pulled underwater by waves that then dragged him across a reef filled with sharp rocks. This was a truly terrifying situation for Gerard, who said, "This was maybe one of the few times that the reports were not exaggerated. It was a pretty close call... [The waves] just took me and I couldn't get up. It was pretty hairy."
