Iron Giant – The Iron Giant (1999)

Brad Bird makes an appearance once again with his 1999 animated classic The Iron Giant. Now some may take issue with this film's inclusion on this list, but given the titular character's reverence for the Man of Steel, and his later emulation of the character's self-sacrificial nature, it's clear as day that this film is wholly deserving of being included as a superhero film.
