Don’t Look Now

After losing their daughter in a drowning accident in Don't Look Now (1973), John (Donald Sutherland) and Laura Baxter (Julie Christie) travel to Italy for work. While there, they meet a pair of elderly sisters. One claims to be clairvoyant and believes she sees the Baxters’ deceased daughter on the streets of Venice. Laura wants to look into it, but John refuses. Interestingly, though, John begins having his own flashes of seeing his daughter on the streets in her red cloak. He also has visions of his wife and the two sisters on a funeral gondola. His flashes become a reality when he sees someone in a red cloak. Following her, John corners what he believes to be a child, but turns out to be a dwarf who stabs and kills him. The film ends with his wife and the two elderly women riding his funeral gondola.
