Hail, Caesar! (2016) – Comedy, Noir and Political Satire

If you were to expect any pair of directors to appear in a gallery like this, it would likely be the Coen Brothers. Joel and Ethan Coen’s careers are practically founded on the idea of blending genres to create entirely unique experiences on film and their 2016 effort, Hail, Caesar! is no exception. While it likely won’t go down as one of their more memorable films such as Fargo, The Big Lebowski, or No Country for Old Men, Hail, Caesar! is nonetheless an entertaining film from start to finish. With a terrific ensemble cast, the Coen Brothers’ signature style of humor, and the backdrop of 1940s Hollywood for their noir story and political satire subplot, there’s no shortage of entertainment value in this movie.
