Weird Science (1985)

In another case of '80s male wish fulfillment, we have the cult classic Weird Science. While John Hughes was a staple of the '80s thanks to hit films such as Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club, Weird Science is one of his lesser efforts. The film is nothing more than a male fantasy in which two high schoolers inexplicably create a flesh-and-blood woman with the use of their computer. Although she's seemingly perfect in every way with impressive abilities, the boys instead use said woman in a plot to help them win over the affections of two other girls. It's a pretty misogynistic view on women as tools and objects of desire, since once the two boys get what they want, there really isn't a purpose for the woman that they created and it's only then that she gets to have her own life.
