Days of Thunder

Tom Cruise plays as a stock-car driver Cole Trickle, a rising star in the Southern stock-car circuit who has a lot of talent with no idea of how to channel that into success in racing. When TIm Daland (Randy Quaid) and Harry Hogge (Robert Duvall) builds a car for Cole to drive, Harry must plant a winning attitude into Cole. Teaching him how to to channel his raw talent to success, Harry puts it as “controlling something that’s out of control.”
