Do we really need to explain why Jar Jar Binks is on this list? Created as the "comic relief" of the rebooted prequels, the character was reportedly inspired by Goofy. Yup, the Disney dog. This probably gives you an idea how Mr. Binks fared with audiences. George Lucas and co. made the laughably CGI-heavy "Gungan" far too silly for legitimate Star Wars fans to take seriously. Luckily, this unfortunate oversight was gradually phased out of the subsequent Episodes II and III.
