Top Gun: Maverick – November 19

After primarily sticking to his rule of working with a new director for every film, mega-star Tom Cruise seems to have doubled back on it in recent years. Doing it once before with Spielberg may have been an exception, but his recent team-ups with Christopher McQuarrie, his hiring of Edward Zwick for the Jack Reacher films, and now with his second collaboration with Joseph Kosinki, it seems like he's thrown it out completely. This long in-development sequel looks to push Cruise and his castmates even further, with some truly breathtaking flight sequences, as revealed in the trailers. Cruise's decade-long career revival almost guarantees this to be one of the year's better action films and easily makes it one of the more anticipated offerings this holiday season.
