Tracy Mills in Se7en (1997)

The question "What's in the box?" has never felt so damning. Detective David Mills (Brad Pitt) and his partner Lieutenant William Somerset (Morgan Freeman) are hunting notorious serial killer John Doe (Kevin Spacey), a madman who’s been murdering people according to the seven deadly sins (e.g. forcing a man to eat until his stomach explodes, the ultimate act of gluttony). Near the end of the film, David and William find themselves directed to a remote desert. With Doe captured and held at gunpoint, the detectives are suddenly delivered a box. Note: this is John Doe’s final (and epic) attempt to incur the ultimate deadly sin – wrath. So what, in fact, is in the box? Well, turns out it’s the severed head of David’s loving and supportive wife Tracy (Gwyneth Paltrow). Hell hath no fury like a man whose wife is brutally decapitated.
