Jason Dixon – Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

There's nothing better than a good redemption arc, but this situation begs the question: can everyone be redeemed? At the beginning of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Officer Dixon is openly racist and abuses his power, going so far as to beat a Black man in police custody. His upbringing is partially to blame for his disrespectful personality, but that isn't an excuse. By the end of the film, Officer Dixon goes through some form of transformation and is trying to help Mildred find her daughter's killer, but isn't it a little too late? He only chose to help after his own life went completely off track, not because he wanted to.
