Julianne Potter – My Best Friend’s Wedding

My Best Friend's Wedding seems like a typical rom-com, but when you take a closer look at the main character Julianne, played by Julia Roberts, it's not so romantic. Julianne and her best friend Michael have a pact to marry each other if they're both single by the time they turn 28. Just as Julianne realizes she may be in love with Michael, he gets engaged. That doesn't stop Julianne. Instead of being happy for her best friend, she decides to sabotage both his wedding and relationship so she can have her own happily ever after. What kind of best friend does that? Can't she just be happy her friend found love instead of focusing on herself?
