Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte – I Love Trouble

Both Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte are Oscar-recognized actors (Julia with a win, Nick with three nominations), but perhaps their greatest acting achievement was successfully convincing viewers that they were lovers in I Love Trouble (1994). There was reportedly so much tension between them that they opted to play off of stand-ins rather than work with each other. Some even say Julia insulted Nick whenever she could and that she hated his "machismo." He shot back when he said, "She's not a nice person, everyone knows that."
