Best Actor in a Leading Role – Chadwick Boseman, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom

Given the nominees this year, the obvious choice for the Best Actor category has to be none other than the late Chadwick Boseman. Veteran actors Anthony Hopkins and Gary Oldman already have their Oscars, while Riz Ahmed and Steve Yeun are talented actors with lengthy careers ahead of them. That leaves Boseman, who also won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama, as the clear front-runner for a posthumous Oscar. That isn't to say he isn't deserving of the award, but it makes the path to his Oscar that much more clear.
