Secret Window (2004)

David Koepp's 2004 adaptation of the Stephen King novel is arguably one of Johnny Depp's more underrated performances to date. Lost in the shuffle between two of his Oscar-nominated roles (for Pirates of the Caribbean and Finding Neverland), his turn as Mort Rainey in Secret Window is just as captivating in this psychological thriller. Opposite him is an equally fun performance by John Turturro, as the film slowly unravels its mystery behind the two men and the story they've both apparently written.
