Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride (2005)

Johnny Depp's second collaboration with Tim Burton from 2005 alongside Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is perhaps the stronger of the two. Burton's love for gothic visuals combined with stop-motion animation helped bring Corpse Bride to life. Depp shines in his first foray into the world of voice acting as Victor Van Dort, with Helena Bonham Carter as his titular undead wife. Though audiences may know what to expect from a Burton film (i.e., whimsy, imaginative macabre visuals, and bittersweet emotions) the film still finds ways to keep them on their toes, making it another memorable flick in both Burton and Depp's filmography.
